Spotting moles in your yard early can save you from significant damage and a whole lot of frustration. One of the most telltale signs of these underground invaders is the presence of raised ridges snaking across your lawn. These ridges are formed as moles tunnel just beneath the surface in search of food. Another clear indication is the appearance of molehills, which are small mounds of soil that appear when moles dig deeper to create their nesting chambers.
Besides the noticeable surface disruptions, moles can cause substantial harm to plant roots. If you find your plants wilting or notice that their roots seem damaged or disturbed, it might be time to investigate further. Early detection of these signs is crucial in preventing extensive damage to your yard. By acting swiftly, you can mitigate the destruction and maintain the health and beauty of your outdoor space. Keep an eye out for these indicators to tackle mole issues before they spiral out of control.
